High Holy Days ChairThe Board of Governors of the First Narayever is looking for a person to fill the role of High Holy Days Chair for 2009. This is a challenging and rewarding position, involving supervision of all aspects of the Yamim Noraim. Most of the work, other than the supervision of the actual Holy Days, is done in June. The shul staff takes care of a lot of the details, with the Chair liaising with a number of resources and suppliers. . Eating Jewishly - Eating Ethically:Exploring Judaism and Food in the 21st CenturyWhat should we eat and how should we eat it? Can diverse Jewish teachings on these questions inform our lives? Join Rabbi Aaron Levy, spiritual leader of Annex Shul and member of Narayever's Community Supported Agriculture program, in a six-part, text-based study series examining six relationships we have with our food: spiritual, ethical, health, ecological, animal, and communal.
