The recipients of this year's major grants have been absolutely delighted. We received a note from Toronto Jewish Free Loan Cassa saying "Thank you for bringing sunshine into a very wet rainy day." Hazon Yeshayah, who honoured our very own Miriam Schlanger for all her incredible fundraising just this September, also wrote "The grant will be extremely welcomed especially during these difficult financial times."
Additional grants of up to $5,000 will be distributed on an ongoing basis to deserving charities throughout the year in accordance with our shul's giving priorities, depending on our ability to provide funds.
